Drug ArrestsOn Saturday, June 13th at approximately 12:00 A.M. Marshall County Sheriff`s Deputy Bennett stopped to check on a disabled vehicle in the area of US 6 and US 31. While making contact with the driver, identified as 31 year old, Wesley Johnson of Warsaw drugs were seen in plain view. Syringes, suspected heroine, and drug paraphernalia were all located in the vehicle. Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on the charges of Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of a Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
