Jack Jordan state RepBecause of the COVID-19 pandemic, many Hoosiers are out of work or find themselves with more time to invest in additional job training.
Through a law I supported in 2017, Hoosiers without a two- or four-year degree wanting to skill up can apply for Workforce Ready Grants to receive tuition-free job training in one of Indiana’s high-demand fields. These industries include advanced manufacturing, building and construction, health and life sciences, IT and business services, and transportation and logistics.

Hoosiers can go online to NextLevelJobs.org and learn more about opportunities through Ivy Tech or Vincennes University to connect to local training resources and to a better-paying job.
Employers in these key industries can also benefit from the program, which offers Employer Training Grants providing $5,000 for each employee who is trained, hired and retained for six months.

Hoosiers interested in Ivy Tech summer courses can enroll through June 8. Click here to learn more. Register for the second round of Vincennes’ summer courses through July 2. For more information on enrolling at Vincennes University, click here.
