Plymouth Community SchoolsThe Plymouth School Board considered a number of agenda items during their March 9 meeting.

The proposed two summer session classes that could be offered at Plymouth High School were presented.

The first session will be from June 8 to June 26 and the second, July 8 to July 24. Class time would be from 8:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. including a half hour lunch period.

The class offerings for the first session would be as follows: Math Credit Recovery, Biology A, Economics Online, Economics Traditional, Geometry A, English Credit Recovery, PE I, and U.S. History A. Classes for the second session include: Agriculture, Math Credit Recovery, Biology B, English Credit Recovery, Government Online, Government Traditional, PE II, Geometry B, and U.S. History B.

Summer school proposed classes could be changed if there is a low enrollment or there could also be an added course if the scheduling process indicated that there is a need.

In other matters, the board considered recommendations from Skillman Corporation concerning bids for renovations at the Alternative Education Center. Bids were received on March 3 with a total of 25 bids on eight projects. The renovation project is expected to cost $4,602,085.

The board members also received preliminary copies of the proposed student handbooks for the 2019- 2020 school year.
