On Friday, February 28th at 10:40 P.M. Officer Ayala with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 300 block of Ebersole Street in Lapaz to speak with a female regarding a court order violation. After speaking to the female Officer’s than went to a residence in the area of the 300 block of South Main Street and located 45 year old Troy Thrush who resided at the home and placed him under arrest for Invasion of Privacy-No Contact Order. Thrush was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $505 bond. He was later released on March 1st after posting bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
