WildRose2-14-19Brian Powers and Nick Gunty of Frances Luke Accord have promised to bring their harmonizing powers to life at The Wild Rose Moon on Friday, February 15th, at 8 p.m.  Brian and Nick, both originally from South Bend, Indiana, have been making music together for a number of years and have released several albums, one of which was recorded in Africa as a special mission project for the arts.  Their newest work, Silver and Gold, reflects on their long-distance work as recording artists—Brian Lives in Chicago and Nick lives in Philadelphia—and features the song Honey Guide.

Their music is marked by their tight, angelic harmonies and punctuated by crisp mandolin and guitar playing. Already collecting numerous plaudits for their sound, the group has been called, “The definition of lean-in music.” by Joni Deutsch  of NPR’s Mountain Stage.  Performing with them, as an added feature, on Friday and Saturday will be special guest, Katie Van Dusen, an extraordinary violinist from Michigan.

Brian and Nick will also be recording a live episode of Wild Rose Moon Radio Hour on Saturday morning, February 16th, at 11:00 a.m. (Please arrive at 10:30 in order to sign up for the show.) Argos resident and harpist, Cindy Boener, will be featured in a guest spot during the program.  And, as usual, the program will feature guests from the audience for the Shoot the Moon Radio Quiz Show.

Tickets are available at wildrosemoon.com and ASK for Flowers.  The two programs are supported by generous underwriting from Schumacher Family Medicine and Tom and Judith Kapacinskas.  Learn more about Frances Luke Accord at: http://franceslukeaccord.com/about/
