flash-flood-watchThe latest information from the National Weather Service puts Marshall County in a FLASH FLOOD WATCH until noon today. One inch of additional rain is possible today.

Showers and thunderstorms since Wednesday evening produced between 1 and 3 inches of rain across portions of the flash flood watch area, with radar estimates of localized amounts near 4 inches from southern Starke County into Marshall County.

Additional heavy rainfall is expected through mid-morning, with up to 1 inch of additional rainfall possible. Runoff from this heavy rainfall will lead to a potential of flash flooding this morning.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
