Warrant arrestPlymouth Police Officers served several warrants last week.  On Wednesday, March 14th at 4 p.m. Officer Shanna Gilmer arrested 40 year old Roy Atkins at the Red D Mart for an active warrant for a probation violation.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in with no bond.

Officer Chad Beatty located 19 year old Christian James Puckett of Plymouth at his residence at 1200 Solomon Court.  Puckett has a warrant through Marshall County.  After taking him into custody, Officer Beatty located methamphetamine in Puckett’s pocket.  He was lodged in the County Jail on the warrant and for the new charge of Possession of Meth.

Officer John Weir was notified by the Drug Unit that 33 year old Justin Pointon had an active warrant.  Officer Weir located him at the Parkside Mini Mart on March 15th about 8:30 in the morning.  He was taken into custody and booked into the jail for Dealing in Methamphetamines.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
