Last week the Marshall County Council held their reorganization and members voted to keep the same officials: Judith Stone President and Don Morrison Vice President. They also approved the 2018 Liaison assignments which remained the same except for the addition of Jon Van Vactor on the Highway Department with Penny Lukenbill.
The County Council also appointed Maria Keller to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission, William Cleavenger to the Culver Union Township Library Board and Don Fox to the Culver Economic Development Board.
Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel was given approval to apply for a grant to secure Naloxone Rescue Kits from the Indiana State Department of Health. The kits contain Narcan for opioid overdose situations. When a kit is used by an officer a report will be sent to the state and a replacement kit will be sent back to the Sheriff’s Department.
