arrested_handcuffsWhile investigating an accident at US 30 and Oak Drive on Friday, December 1st, Plymouth Police observed a vehicle driven by 30 year old Roman A. Helms of Plymouth proceed into oncoming traffic to avoid being detoured around the accident scene.

Helms was advised to pull over and a check of his license showed there was an active warrant for his arrest from Grant County for Intimidation.  The warrant was confirmed and Helms was transported to the Marshall County Jail to await extradition to Grant County.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
