05/03/11 The Earthworks Market at 701 East Jefferson Street in Plymouth will screen the award winning film Addicted to Plastic (85 min). Described as a “wake-up call,” Addicted to Plastic is a global journey to investigate what we really know about the “material of a thousand uses”. For better or worse, no ecosystem or segment of human activity has escaped the shrink-wrapped grasp of plastic. But it may also be a substance that is exposing the environment to significant poisons. This film is interesting, humorous, and upbeat, with some good information about alternatives to plastic. The viewing of this program is open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
