ArrestedA Kokomo man was arrested Tuesday morning after struggling with Plymouth police officers.

City officers were dispatched to the area of North Michigan Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail about 3 o’clock in the morning for a female screaming for help and being forcibly carried away.

Officers located the female and made contact with 28 year old Ross Winegardner who began to fight with the officers.  He was intoxicated and officers found he had outstanding warrants in Howard County and Miami County.

Mr. Winegardner injured two police officers in the incident. They were treated and released from the Plymouth Hospital

Winegardner also sustained injuries in the incident and was treated and released at the Saint Joseph Health Center before being transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for Battery to Law Enforcement, Domestic Battery and Public Intoxication and held on a $3,000 cash bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
