Sunday morning about 8:45 Plymouth Police Officer John Weir stopped a Jeep Cherokee on US 30 near Pioneer Drive for a traffic violation. While speaking to the driver, 33 year old Christopher Newland of Rolling Prairie, Officer Weir learned he had lost his license for life. Newland was also under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test and then taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating While Intoxicated and Operating after being adjudged a Habitual Traffic Violator for Life.
Sunday evening about 4 Plymouth Police Officer Jeremy Enyart saw a female yelling and running from the back of the Moose Lodge on West Jefferson Street. The female was being chased by a male she claimed to soon be her ex-husband.
During the incident 43 year old James C. Campbell of Jackson Heights Road in Plymouth led officers in a foot pursuit. He was taken into custody in the 1200 block of West Adams Street while resisting arrest. Campbell was lodged in the county jail for Resisting Law Enforcement and held on a $750 cash bond.
