First Source Triton MC Promise

1st Source Bank has contributed $15,000 to the Marshall County Community Foundation for the Marshall County Promise which helps local students and their families start saving for college. With 1st Source’s contribution, this program is available countywide and all Kindergarten students now have the opportunity to open a 529 account and receive $25 for future educational needs.

Connie Lemler, 1st Source Regional President and a leader in bringing this popular program to Marshall County, presented the contribution to Triton Elementary Principal Jeremy Riffle and several students.

“1st Source Bank is a strong supporter of the Marshall County Promise and we’re pleased to be able to help area students start saving for college and create college bound identities,” said Lemler. “Studies show that students who save even $1 for college are three times more likely to continue their education after high school. This program has the potential to make a significant impact on our community.”
