Officer Jason Bailey with the Bourbon Police Department arrested a Mishawaka man Sunday morning at US 6 and State Road 106 West on multiple charges.
While on normal patrol, Officer Bailey conducted a traffic stop about 2:30 in the morning on a speeding vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, 39 year old Merle E. Kaufman was determined to be Operating While Intoxicated with a Blood Alcohol Content of .15% or higher, Operating While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating While Intoxicated 2nd and subsequent offence. He was also charged with driving 75 MPH in a 55 MPH speed zone.
The charges and information supplied are merely an allegation that a crime has been committed; all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
