NewsLast week the Plymouth Common Council approved the Centralized Dispatch contract with Marshall County although they did modify the agreement.

Plymouth Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver asked for the modification to limit any increase to the city to not exceed the Assessed Valued Growth Quotient for the state.  Her request was at the recommendation of the Department of Local Government Finance.

On Monday the Marshall County Commissioners acknowledged the modification but had previously approved the contract.

It was noted that beginning in January, centralized dispatch will handle all dispatching for the City of Plymouth.  This year the city has continued dispatching the Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift.   Those calls were not included in the 2017 calculations so it’s already anticipated an increase will be proposed for the city for 2018.

The County Commissioners also approved the intergovernmental agreement between the County and City of Plymouth for Plan Director services next year at a cost of $7,754 and a memorandum of understanding for the entrance sign that sits on Lincoln Highway east of Plymouth on county right-of-way.
