phs_turkey_1Plymouth High School students involved in Alpha Delta Rho, the PHS Literary Society, are raising funds in a creative way for a few days. Starting Thursday and lasting until Tuesday, November 22, students can purchase a feather at lunch from an Alpha Delta Rho member for 25 cents or 5 for $1 to give to a teacher, or teachers of their choice. Some students even write nice messages to show their thanks. It’s one small way the students can say thanks for all of the hard work teachers do.

Alpha Delta Rho members posted the bare turkeys on teacher’s doors on Wednesday after school. The teacher with the most feathers on their door turkey gets to donate half of the money earned to a charity of his or her choice. The Alpha Delta Rho club will do a daily feather count to see who is in the lead each day!

The purpose of the Alpha Delta Rho society is to foster creativity and promote the individual through association with literary works, theatre, and classic arts.
