03/31/11 Marshall County Church Orchestra director, Don Harness is pleased to announce the 2011 concert schedule.  The inter-denominational, multi-generational organization is gearing up for a full spring and summer of private and public concerts. 

The opening concert of the season is scheduled for Sunday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the New Song Church in Plymouth.  New Song Church is located at 400 N. Kingston Rd. in Plymouth (formerly the Kabelin Ace Hardware Store).  The orchestra will present a variety of music throughout the evening and refreshments will be served.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

June through September will see the orchestra “hitting the road” as their “Concert In The Park” series will take place in various Marshall County town parks.  Sunday, June 12th the orchestra will perform at the Bourbon Town Gazebo with The Kings Way Quartet as their guest performers.  The Culver Town Park is the meeting place for their Sunday, July 10th concert with The Plymouth Youth Orchestra as their special musical guest.  Sunday, August 14th will find the orchestra traveling to the Argos Community Park. Special musical guest for the evening will be the Argos Walnut Church of the Brethren Choir.  Sunday September 11th brings the orchestra back to Plymouth for the opening of National Assisted Living Week at Miller’s Senior Living Community.  The concert will be held under the tent and will pay tribute to Patriot’s Day. Special guest for the evening will be Quentin Flagg.  The “Concert In The Park” series   begin at 6:00 p.m., are free and open to the public.   Those attending are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and a picnic supper and enjoy the evenings as a family.  Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Other performances by the Marshall County Church Orchestra include:  Thursday, May 26, 7:00 p.m. at Fairfield Garden Court (outside); Saturday, June 25th, 9:00 a.m. at the Plymouth Farmer’s Market; Thursday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Marshall County 4-H Fair; Sunday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Jacoby Church and Saturday, August 20th    at 9:00 a.m. at the Plymouth Farmer’s Market.  The group is also planning ahead to their November Dessert and Concert to be held Thursday and Friday, November 17th and 18th.
