Culver_Library_Club FairOn Saturday, January 16, the Culver-Union Township Public Library held their fourth annual Club Fair. Local clubs, organizations, or groups were invited to come to the library free of charge to set up an informational table and promote their cause.

Rebecca Nifong, CUTPL Friends of the Library President, told Reference/Adult Services Manager and Club Fair organizer, Dana Thomas, “This was a great opportunity for the community and organizations to get to know one another, share ideas and join hands to make this the best library and community in Indiana.”

Culver_Library_Club Fair_1CUTPL Friends of the Library was one of 21 groups in attendance, along with the Antiquarian & Historical Society, Blessings in a Backpack, CCSC Marketing Team, CES PTO, Culver & Lake Maxinkuckee Visitor Center, Culver EMS, Culver-Union Township Heritage, Inc., Culver Youth Soccer, CUTPL Adult & Teen Coloring, CUTPL Book Clubs, CUTPL Thursday Tech Time and Computer Classes, Free Tax Return Filing at CUTPL, Heartland Artists, Knit Happens, Lions Club, Marshall County Council on Aging, MoonTree Studios, Plymouth Adult Education at CUTPL, Tri Kappa, and the VFW Auxiliary from Post 6919.

The CUTPL Friends of the Library provided cookies and warm drinks as refreshments for those who braved the cold and ice to attend the Club Fair. Additionally, the Friends of the Library held a special Book Sale for those in attendance. MoonTree Studios and Knit Happens had artist demonstrations going on throughout the day, including knitting and spinning wool. Andrew Baker, IT Manager, and Mitch Anderson hosted interactive computer and projection demonstrations throughout the day.
