Students and staff at Lincoln Junior High in Plymouth helped raise money for this year’s Shop with a Cop and Emergency Services program sponsored by Plymouth F.O.P. Lodge 195.
A penny war was conducted during first hour. Students put pennies in their first hour classroom jars and then other students and staff members would counteract those pennies by placing silver and dollars in various jars.
Julie Stauffer said the principals had fun going to different classes each day and teasing the kids by placing silver in the jars saying the office was going to be the winners.
The winning classroom was Mrs. Brennan’s first hour Choir class. The students will have donutes with Principal Reid Gault on Friday.
The total donation to Shop With A Cop was $1,179.86.
