Drivers and fans will see a new race director at Plymouth Speedway beginning this Saturday, August 1st.
Sara Tarlton was recently appointed as the new Promoter/Race Director at the Playground of Power. The Albion, Indiana resident loves racing and has followed the sport her entire life.
“I’ve been a racing fan ever since I can remember,” smiled Tarlton as she reminisced about her days a child at the race track. “My brothers raced cars, my uncle raced cars at Warsaw Speedway and I even owned a race car at one time. I just have a passion for racing.”
Not only is Tarlton a fan, she’s also been involved behind the scenes for more than 20 years. She has hand scored the running order in races in different traveling series and served as race director at Angola Speedway for two years.
Her goals will be in line with the effort of excellence put forth by Plymouth Speedway employees.
“Everyone works well together and if we can keep that and make it even stronger Plymouth Speedway will have everything the fans want on race night,” said Tarlton.
As race director, Tarlton is in charge of the employees, sponsorships and race procedures. She will welcome a conversation with the driver after the features conclude to discuss any concerns.
Tarlton previously served as the pit stewardess in the 2015 season.
