accidentMarshall County Police Officer Rob Hafke investigated a two vehicle accident Saturday that sent a Plymouth man to Memorial Hospital in South Bend via helicopter.

Just after 2 p.m. 72 year old Dennis Elliot of Plymouth was traveling north on Hawthorn Road south of 12th Road in a 2007 Kawasaki Mule Truck 4×4 when he turned west into a private drive without any notice.

22 year old Kyle Stone of Tippecanoe was also north bound on Hawthorn in a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire preparing to pass the utility vehicle when Elliot turned in front of him.  Stone was unable to avoid the collision with Elliot’s vehicle.

Dennis Elliot sustained head injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital’s trauma unit by helicopter.
