PizzaWars logoThe second round of the Northern Indiana Pizza Wars came to a close Sunday night. Over 76,000 votes were cast through the first two rounds of the competition, blowing last year’s Burger Wars numbers out of the water.  Last year’s Burger Wars had a total of 60,000 votes after two months of voting!   The second round of the Northern Indiana Pizza Wars kicked off on Thursday, May 28 and ended Sunday, May 31 at midnight.  The brackets are currently closed until the final county round kicks off again this Thursday. The final county round will be June 4-7.

After the conclusion of the final county round on June 7, the seven winners plus one wild card will enter into the regional rounds to find the best pizza in the region. The wild card restaurant will the second place restaurant with the most votes throughout the competition.

In Marshall County Piazza’s and The Wooden Peel will go head-to-head in the battle to select the best pizza in Marshall County.  Voting opens this Thursday and last until midnight on Sunday.  Visit the tourism office’s website at www.visitmarshallcounty.org to vote and remember you can vote each day of the competition.
