2006 Plymouth High School graduate, Naval Lieutenant Thomas Flynn was one of the four pilots who were honored to participate in the military flyover during opening ceremonies at the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race Sunday evening in Charlotte.
The Plymouth native is the son of Tom and Kelsey Flynn and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2010. He is currently a member of the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.
During the flyover Sunday Flynn was in a F18 Super Hornet single seat.
