Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the area of Taco Bell on North Michigan Street for a moving domestic battery that was called in by an off-duty Officer on Wednesday, May 29th just before 7 p.m.
While Officers were en route, they were advised that the vehicle had pulled into the McDonald’s Drive-Thru. City officers located the parties involved in the domestic battery.
A female, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was seen by the off-duty officer hitting the male party that was driving the vehicle and causing him to drive all over the roadway and about hitting the off-duty officer’s vehicle.
The female was identified as Jennifer Sanderson, 48, of Monterey.
Ms. Sanderson was placed under arrest for domestic battery and transported to Marshall County Jail. She was held on a $500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
