The REES Theatre in downtown Plymouth will be showing “Star Wars: A New Hope (Episode IV)” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.
The original 1977 masterpiece by George Lucas stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher, and the voice of James Earl Jones as Darth Vader.
The Imperial Forces are holding Princess Leia hostage, in their efforts to quell the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Luke Skywalker (with help from Jedi Master Obi Wan-Kenobi) and Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon, set out with droid duo R2-D2 and C-3PO to rescue Leia, help the Rebel Alliance, and restore freedom and justice to the Galaxy.
Costumes are welcome. Tickets are $10 each and are available online at reestheatre.com, at Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth, and at the door 45 minutes before showtime.
