A call to the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center Tuesday morning at about 12:40 of a person walking on the shoulder of U.S. 6 sent county officers to investigate. 

Central Dispatch received a call about a male subject walking east on the shoulder of U.S. 6 very early Tuesday morning.

Officer Haygood was the first on the scene and while speaking with the male subject determined that he was intoxicated.

Ryan Ivey, 49, of S. Shumaker Drive in Bremen was transported to the Plymouth Hospital to receive jail clearance and then taken to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked in on the charge of Public Intoxication and held on a $250 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
