Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 2505 North Oak Drive, Walmart, Monday afternoon, April 22nd just before 5 p.m. for a male party that was now outside of the store but had been inside, causing a scene and kicking things in the store.

The caller advised that the male party was intoxicated.

Officer Fisher located the male party, later identified as Larry Baltes, 49, of Bremen, out front of the Ross store.  It was determined during the investigation that he was intoxicated.

Larry Baltes was arrested for public intoxication, criminal mischief, and battery with bodily waste and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.   He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
