The City of Plymouth will hold its regular meetings Monday evening at 6 with the Board of Public Works and Safety and at 6:30 the Common Council meeting. 

Members of the Board of Public Works and Safety will hear from department heads, the city attorney and the clerk treasure.  The clerk will present two requests, on to clock parking spaces for the Marshall County Historical Society and the second is a street closure for the Steps for Stegs 5K event on May 5th.  The Board of Works will also approve the claims and accept the communications. 

The Common Council will conduct a public hearing on the Tax Abatement request of Viking Paper Corporation, have an opportunity to hear any unfinished business from the mayor, council members, clerk and the city attorney.  Under New Business is the Compliance Forms for AK Industries, DAC Enterprise LLC, Harrington Noodles, Oasis Lifestyle LLC, Hoosier Tire, Bomarko, and Culver Tool & Engineering.  The agenda also includes a request for an exemption from licensing requirement from the Kiwanis Club to fundraise at Michigan and Jefferson Streets. 

The Council’s agenda also includes consideration of a salary amendment to the 2024 ordinance, a declaratory resolution designating the real estate for Viking Paper to be within an economic revitalization area and a resolution adopting the revised plan of expenditures for the city’s American Rescue Plan Act funds. 

The city meetings are open to the public and held on the second floor of city hall.  Those attending should enter through the Garro Street door and move to the second floor.  The meeting is also streamed live through Teams.
