A Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail for battery and indecent exposure.

At 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 17th officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the Red Rock Inn on North Michigan Street for the report of a battery.  The caller also told dispatch that the suspect was exposing himself.

Officers located the suspect, 44-year-old Jeremy Clayton who has a room at the Red Rock Inn attempting to leave the area.

During Officer Baker’s investigation, it was determined that a battery with bodily injury had occurred.

Jeremy Clayton was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for battery resulting in bodily injury and indecent exposure. He is being held on a $500 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
