This past week was Bus Driver Appreciation week at Plymouth Community School Corporation. The entire community came together to shower the drivers with love and gifts. These gestures were a small token of the appreciation we all have for the individuals who safely deliver so many of our children to and from school. They are a bright smile a child sees to begin and end their school day.

Monday, PCSC drivers enjoyed bags and calendars from Laurie Sutter – State Farm Agent, breakfast from Marie Fansler, and had the chance to win blankets, ice scrapers, and various other prizes from J&K Communications, a yeti cup from Wiers, gift cards from Butterfly Boutique and gift cards from Town Square in Argos through a daily bingo game that continued all week long! 13 extra prizes were given throughout the week by the generous donors.

Tuesday, drivers enjoyed a Charcuterie Board from Gather 2 Graze Charcuterie, LLC , pizza for lunch provided by Pro Resources Staffing Services, $15 Biggby coffee gift cards from Jones Petrie Rafinski , coffee cups customized by Pam Lee– with a bag of snacks inside from Pat Nettrouer! Jefferson Elementary School PCSC gave them shirts, and many sweet notes were given to drivers by the students. Plymouth High School showed them how “eggcellent” they are! These drivers do so much for us!

Wednesday, drivers were treated to breakfast from Sandy and Ben Tolson, lunch by Steve and Stephanie Hall, lip balm from Butterfly Boutique, CPR masks from AMP Auctions LLC, screw drivers and other goodies from J&K Communications, Inc., and bread stick gift cards from Bourbon Street Pizza – Plymouth.

Thursday, Plymouth’s bus drivers got fruit trays and a yummy breakfast from AMP Auctions LLC, Lunch boxes from Miller’s Merry Manor – Plymouth, homemade candy from Pat Langfeldt, and T-SHIRTS paid for by generous community members and parents! The fun didn’t end there. The drivers received packages of Stroop Waffles from Dutch Waffle Company, and Monteith’s Best-One Tire & Auto Care gave them lunch coolers with $25 of Best-Bucks in them!

Friday, lunch was provided by KFC here in Plymouth…and every driver was given a gift card! They also received goodie bags from Zentis and Yeti Cups from Wiers.

The outpouring of support this week has been incredible to see.

“To our incredible bus drivers, your tireless efforts and unwavering commitment are the backbone of our school community. From the depths of our hearts, PCSC thanks you for all that you do. You are the wheels that keep us moving forward, and for that, we are forever grateful.”
