Tuesday evening the Plymouth Plan Commission held their monthly meeting in the council chambers of City Hall.

City councilman Randy Longanecker was sworn into his position for another 4-year term on the commission.  Plan Commission members also approved the minutes from their last meeting in February.  The Edwin and Jane Yochum request for a minor subdivision to separate off the home at 11829 Maple Road was tabled at their request.

Plymouth Plan Commission members did approve the request of James and Sarah Stone to divide their property at 2280 West Jefferson Street into two lots.  The lot with the home and outbuildings is 2.4 acres and the remaining property is 12.94 acres.  The Stones have a party interested in purchasing their home.  There were no comments during the public hearing and all 10 members of the Plan Commission approved the request as it was presented.

The second case was the request of Dan Sharpe to replat lots 5 and 15 in the VanVactor Farm PUD.  Sharpe purchased the property immediately to the south (red) and west of Watkins Truck & Trailer, formerly VanVactor Trucking.  Over the years, Watkins has spread their equipment onto the property Sharpe purchased.  The replat gives Watkins a one-acre strip of property on the south and the property immediately (in blue) behind Watkins.

There were no comments during the public hearing and the plan commission unanimously approved the replat as requested.

Members were also treated to a presentation by County Plan Director Ty Adley who reviewed their responsibilities, meetings & hearings, decision making and some of the pitfalls they might experience.
