Plymouth Police Officers arrested two individuals on Saturday, March 30th for alcohol.

Officer Mark with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple infractions Saturday, just after midnight. During the traffic stop, it was determined one of the occupants of the vehicle, Kevin Calvillo, 19, was under the influence of alcohol. Calvillo was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage, as a class C misdemeanor.  His cash bond was $100.

On the evening of March 30th, at approximately 11:45, Officer Schieber conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation along with an equipment violation on Jefferson Street near Coventry Court. 

During the traffic stop, the driver, Matthew O’Brien, 31 of South Michigan Street in Plymouth, was found to be more than twice the legal limit.  O’Brien was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated -endangering, and over .15. His cash bond was set at $1,500. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
