On Wednesday, March 13th just before 9 p.m. Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department was in the Dollar General store on Oak Drive when a male tried to pay for his merchandise with a $100 bill that the cashier told the officer was fake.

Officer Krynock located the man in the parking lot and identified him as 30-year-old Cody Sobieck of Hillcrest Avenue in Plymouth.  Sobieck was found to have an active warrant for his arrest so the officer transported him to the Marshall County Jail and booked him in on the warrant.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
