The Plymouth Community School Corporation’s Transportation Department is collecting food items for “Driving Out Hunger” this week March 4th through the 8th.

Donations collected will be distributed to the Bread of Life Food Pantry, Marshall County Neighborhood Center, and the food pantry at Plymouth Wesleyan Church.

The public is invited to drop off non-perishable food items at any Plymouth Community School Corporation school’s front office, the Plymouth Public Library, Butterfly Boutique, or Simply Stated Gifts.

This week-long event will end on Saturday with a Plymouth School Bus parked at Martin’s Supermarket in Plymouth on March 9th from 10 a.m. until noon.

Please consider picking up some extra items next week and donating to these local pantries!

Suggested food items to donate include:

Boxed mac and cheese                  Cereal and oatmeal

Canned fruits and veggies              Canned chicken, tuna, salmon 

Flour and sugar                             Jelly and peanut butter

Rice, noodles or pasta                    Spaghetti Sauce

Vegetable oil                                 Instant mashed potatoes

Canned soup and stew                   Mustard & Ketchup
