A Fort Wayne man was arrested by County Police after being clocked driving 94 mph in a 60 mph zone on U.S. 30.

Monday night at about 11, Officer Nick Laffoon with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was on routine patrol on U.S. 30 near Tulip Road.

A traffic stop was made on the vehicle, and during the investigation, it was determined that the driver had operated a vehicle without a license. The offender, 20-year-old Royce L. Laroche, was transported from the scene to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operator never licensed.

Twenty minutes after his arrest, Laroche was released on a cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
