The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center has placed Marshall County under a “Marginal Risk” (1/5) for severe weather tonight and a “Slight Risk” (2/5) for Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.

An isolated severe thunderstorm with the potential for large hail is possible, primarily between 4-9 a.m. on Tuesday morning, though confidence is low in that initial round.

Scattered strong to severe storms become more likely late Tuesday afternoon and lasting into Tuesday night. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threat, but there is also an isolated tornado threat worth monitoring.
