Sharon K. Wood, 83, of Culver

Sharon K. Wood, 83, of Culver, IN passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2024, with her family by her side.

Sharon was born in Plymouth, IN on April 19, 1940 to Lillian Marie Eads and graduated from Culver High School in 1958.  On July 12, 1969, she married the love of her life, Thomas Wayne Wood who preceded her in death on September 1, 2020.

For many years, Sharon worked as a care provider in her home for elderly patients.  She was also a member of New Song Church in Plymouth, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, caring for her pets, and baking delicious cookies for her family.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness in her children: Mark (Brad Cybulski) Porman of South Bend, IN; Philip Porman (Shelly Siade) of Culver, IN; Thomas Wood, Jr. of Culver, IN; Wally (Tonia) Wood of Mishawaka, IN; her grandchildren:  Crystal Porman (Jarvis Long); Virginia Wood; Taylor Wood; Morgan (Cody) DeSmith; Tyler Wood; and her great-grandchildren:  Gage; Giana; Destiny; Ryland; Emery; Micah; Hunter; Makenna; and the countless friends and community members whose lives she touched.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband; mother; grandparents: Albert Lee and Pearl Mae Eads; sister, Cindy Eads; son, Timothy Porman; and grandson, Michael Porman.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
