The Marshall County Plan Commission meets tonight at 7 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

There are a total of four cases on the agenda but the one the public will be most interested in will be the process of creating regulations for battery energy storage systems.  This will be a lengthy process because they will begin creating amendments to Article 3, Standard Zoning District Intent, Users & Standards, Article 6, Development Standards, and Article 10 Administration of the county’s zoning ordinance.

Also on the agenda is a request by Julie and David Williams to create Raven Creed Minor Subdivision of two lots at 15564 Redwood Road in Culver. The property is zoned T-1.

The next request comes from Gary Bennett at 14857 12th Road.  He is requesting a 2-lot minor subdivision at Myers Lake in an L-1 zoning district.

The Mashall County Plan Commission will discuss an amendment to the Attendance Article 10 pertaining to attendance required and the final item the County Plan Commission will do is begin the process of creating regulations for battery energy storage systems.

Members will also get a copy of the 2023 Annual Report.

The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed through YouTube off the county’s website.
