Robert W. Manuwal, 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Born on March 28, 1952 in Plymouth, Indiana he was the son of Kenneth and Marcella (Morehouse) Manuwal. He attended Plymouth High School graduating with the class of 1970. Becky and Bob met their junior year of high school and instantly became soul mates and they were married on December 20, 1971 at First United Methodist Church in Plymouth. He went on to graduate from Manchester University in Environmental Science.
Bob worked for Teacher’s Credit Union as a banker before retiring in 2018. One of the kindest men that you would ever want to meet is usually what you would hear describe his gentle soul. Bob always had a smile on his face that would brighten up everyone’s day.
He enjoyed fishing at his son Matt’s cabin in the Wisconsin Northwoods as well as spending time in Door County. Not a stranger to a Friday night Plymouth High School Basketball or football game to cheer on his alma mater. Robert enjoyed anything to do with reading about military history.
Bob was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Plymouth where he served on the council as well as President of Link to Hope.
He is survived by his wife Becky of Plymouth; son Matthew of NY; and sister Kathy Herschberger of Westfield, IN.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Manuwal.
Friends of the family may gather on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 10-11 am at the First United Church of Christ, 321 N. Center Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. A memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating.
