Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday evening, February 14th at 6.

A 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was northbound on Oak Drive at the U.S. 30 intersection and a 2024 International truck was traveling westbound on U.S. 30 approaching the intersection of U.S. 30 and Oak Drive.

The Silverado, driven by Byran McGowen, 49, of Argos disregarded the red traffic signal for northbound traffic and proceeded through the intersection.  At the same time, the International truck driven by Wayne Humphrey, 55, of West Virginia continued through the intersection with a green light for eastbound traffic.

The front of the Silverado collided with the rear axles of the truck rendering both vehicles underivable.

A child passenger in the back seat of the Silverado complained of abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

The Plymouth Police Department and Plymouth Fire and EMS assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
