A man from Georgia was arrested by city police Tuesday evening during Operation Pull Over for DUIs.

Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department stopped the vehicle at 225 E. Jefferson Street and identified the driver as Jesus Edgardo Alfaro Gonzalez, 29, of Norcross, GA.

Gonzalez was found to never have obtained a driver’s license.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for operator never licensed.  

Plymouth Police were assisted by officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
