An officer from the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop at 9:30 Friday morning, February 9th at Jefferson Street and Coventry Court.  The stop was on a red 2005 Hummer H2 for having the windshield tinted. 

After speaking with the driver, Police Chief Weir found that 47-year-old Stephen Mucha III of Walkerton was driving while suspended with prior since 2014. 

Mucha was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgement of guilt may be made.
