Monday evening, February 12th, at approximately 10 o’clock, Officer Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation at Oak and PIDCO Drives.

During the traffic stop the driver, Omar Diaz-Urdaneta, 28, of West Jefferson Street in Plymouth was found to have never been issued a driver’s license.

Diaz-Urdaneta was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for operator never licensed.  His cash bond was paid about an hour later and he was released on bond.   

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
