Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 east of Oak Drive last Tuesday at about 3 a.m. on a vehicle that had a broken trail light. 

The driver was identified as Devington Halliburton, 34, from New Carlisle and during the traffic stop it was determined that he was suspended prior and also in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 

Halliburton was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended prior, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgement of guilt may be made.
