On the morning of Saturday, February 10th, at approximately 12:30, a Plymouth Police Officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Queen Road after the vehicle was observed running a red light. 

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kyla Hudson, 47 years old from Michigan City. 

During the officer’s investigation, suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.  The driver was also suspected of being impaired and upon further testing was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. 

Kyla Hudson is facing pending criminal charges for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering, and possession of marijuana. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.  They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgement of guilt may be made.
