Keith L. Jefferies, 94, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in his home.

Keith was born on January 7, 1930 to Fred Deacon and Ina May (Fenstemaker) Jefferies in Argos, IN. He married Eva Lucille O’Hara on September 4, 1948 in Argos, IN, she preceded him in death on January 2, 2017. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Teamsters Union #364. He worked as an ice cream trucker for Schlosser Dairy, as a semi driver for several places, a diesel mechanic for Whiteford, he farmed, and he worked for Transit-Mix until his retirement. He enjoyed flower gardening, woodworking, coloring books, camping, playing euchre, having fun, and was known as a jokester and a snowbird who went to Florida in the winter.

Keith is survived by his daughters: Linda Hamann of Argos, IN; Karen (Richard) Markley of Plymouth, IN; Debra Nifong of Plymouth, IN; his son, Larry (April) Jefferies of Plymouth, IN; his 8 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ina Jefferies; his wife, Eva Jefferies; his sisters: Mary Puterbaugh; Barbara Riewoldt; and Marcille Cass.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).

A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kayla Grehl officiating.

The burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).

Memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice (1419 N Michigan St, Plymouth, IN 46563).
