On Wednesday, January 31, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Plymouth Police went to the Park Jefferson Apartments on West Jefferson Street to attempt a warrant service. 

Jason Burkey,44, of Plymouth answered the door of the apartment and was identified by Plymouth Police.  He was advised that he had a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. 

Burkey was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged on a warrant for domestic battery in the presence of a minor as a level 6 felony and intimidation as a level 6 felony and issued a cash bond in the amount of $5,000.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
