Who will be the “Best Band” of 2024?  On Saturday, The REES in downtown Plymouth is bringing you the second annual Battle of the Bands, a music contest where various bands will compete for the title of “best band.” The evening’s headliner is This Homemade Conspiracy, the 2023 winner, and features four local bands as competitors: Bottoms Up, Limited Addiction, Platipossum, and 30 South.

The winner will be determined by an audience vote, so be sure to come out and support your favorite group. This is an all-ages event. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP seating in the balcony. The show kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Cowabunga! The brothers are back and will be at the REES this weekend.   The REES has a great Family Sunday Matinee planned for this weekend: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.”

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

The movie begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are just $5 for adults, and children 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult. Tickets for all REES events are available online at reestheatre.com, Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth, and at the door 45 minutes before the show.
