Members of the North Township Advisory Board and Trustee Emily Haskins will meet jointly with the LaPaz Town Board this evening and conduct a public hearing on the possibility of forming a fire territory.
This is the first of three meetings and will be held at 6 p.m. at the LaPaz Fire Station. The other meeting dates are Tuesday, February 20, and Tuesday, February 27, also at 6:00 p.m. at the LaPaz Fire Station.
Taxpayers of the Town of LaPaz and North Township are encouraged to attend the public hearing at 6:00 P.M. at the LaPaz Fire Department, 411 South Michigan Street, to consider a proposed ordinance, resolution, and an interlocal agreement for the establishment of the LaPaz North Township Fire Protection Territory beginning with taxes payable in 2025.
