Robert B. “Bob” Burgess 80, of rural Plymouth, Indiana passed away at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday January 23, 2024. Bob was born on October 12, 1943 to Louis and Martha Abernathy Burgess in Lake Village, Arkansas. He was raised by his mother and Step-father Timothy Burgess.
Bob attended Bremen schools.
He was married to Brenda Dotson on October 30, 1965 and preceded him in death on July 30, 2019.
Bob was an ironworker with Local #292 and retired from Days Heavy Machinery Movers of Elkhart, Indiana in 1998.
Bob was an avid Outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, his car collection, yard work and his horses.
Surviving are his daughter; Lisa (Kevin) Dearmon and son: Tim Burgess both of Plymouth, Indiana. One sister: Linda Piper of Plymouth and also his fur baby “Jesse” whom he dearly loved.
preceded in death by brothers; Bill and John Burgess and a sister Beverly Kokoiski, his parents and step-father, and his wife Brenda.
Private family services are being scheduled. The Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home 1100 N. Michigan Street Plymouth, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
